RICOH THETA X and Z1 provide three types of APIs:

• Web API

  • This API controls THETA through HTTP.
  • You can set, preview, shoot, and acquire images.
  • When THETA is in wireless LAN client mode, digest authentication is performed.

  THETA Web API Tutorial

• Bluetooth API

  • This API controls THETA through the Bluetooth low energy (BLE) Generic Attribute Profile (GATT).
  • You can set/shoot, but the functions are limited.

  THETA BLE API Tutorial

• USB API

  • This API controls THETA through the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP).
  • You can set, shoot, and acquire images.
